I bought the dark honey for my senior dog. He suffers from a collapsing Trachea. A spoonful mixed with a little water has been providing him comfort and his cough is suppressed.
If I could only have one honey, it would have to be Buckwheat!! Mmmm—the flavor! It’s my favorite!! I use it in hot cacao, teas and on a spoon straight from the jar! I will be reordering for myself, but will also order jars to treat my toddler grandkids when they have coughs! I was so grateful that I had it on hand when I had bronchitis.
A few years ago when I lived in New York. I bought a bottle of Buckwheat Honey at a Farmers Market; mainly because of the colour. As I have never seen dark Honey before and loved it. I have moved since then and have been trying to find a local beekeeper who sells it with no luck. Until I came across this site. Ans had to get a bottle. It has a nice mild nutty Molasses flavour with a hint of caramel after taste. It goes great on toast or in a marinade.
The buckwheat honey has a bold, sweet taste that is great in hot tea and on oatmeal.

Outstanding buckwheat honey! Great flavor and consistency. If you are on the fence about it, it does not taste like buckwheat groats. Though it does have a rich, deep, almost smokey flavor. It is more intense than typical American honey. It compares very well to raw buckwheat honey I had in the Altai Territory in the former USSR. Give it a try!

The Buckwheat honey is the richest flavor of all the honeys. The dark color must by why it tastes so good. I put it on cereal, chicken, some veggies, & sometimes just straight from the bottle…….Love it & I understand that honey is very healthy so, bonus sweetness……Love it!!! Thank you……
