K'Vetch Honey

  • $12.00

8 oz of 100% raw and pure Vetch Honey from Oregon.

Vetch is a vine from the sweet pea family. A perennial with creamy white flowers with purple or red markings.  They're found in the woods of Oregon's Willamette Valley and Blue Mountains.

This honey has a fruity peach and crisp apple notes with a hint of floral undertone.

K'vetch is a yiddish word that means to complain.  We couldn't help but make a punny label for this honey!  Everyone knows a k'vetch and k'vetching is an art.  However, there's nothing to criticize about this delicious honey.  Just enjoy it!

Certified: OU

Suggested Use: Make a medley of freshly sliced peaches, apples, and blueberries. Drizzle a little vetch honey, squeeze 1/4 lime, mix and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Bee Smart: Vetch is a native plant used as cover crop which releases nitrogen back into the soil.  It is an excellent grazing plant for game birds and cattle.  Native Americans used the pods, seeds, and leaves as food and the poultice of leave have been used for medicinal purposes.  Bees love the tiny blossoms to collect its nectar to make honey.

the buzz from our customers

our mission

My beekeeping journey began over 12 years ago with my oldest daughter begging for a dog, which led us to getting baby chickens instead,  then honey bees were added to our urban backyard farm and the rest is history.

We're urban NYC beekeepers with a mission to help save the bees and other pollinators. Bees have been declining at an alarming rate which can impact the global food supply as bees are essential in pollination.

Our honey is pure and raw and sourced from either our own local hives or small apiaries, like us, from around the country.  We believe in sustainable beekeeping, supporting small local beekeepers who in turn work with small local family farms to help pollinate their crops and bring you real, delicious honey.

REAL BEEKEEPERS.  REAL HONEY.  TASTE THE DIFFERENCE.
